Support When You Need It Most
You arrive home from the hospital with your new little bundle of joy. No more uncomfortable hospital beds. No more sterile rooms. No more nurses to interrupt you in the middle of the night. No more help. Now what do you do?
As a Postpartum Doula, I provide non-medical physical, emotional, educational and family support after the birth of your baby (or babies). I come to your house to help you and your family with self-care recovery, postpartum comfort measures, infant care, parenting information, and provide assistance with learning to feed and take care of your baby. I can also provide assistance with siblings, pets, and household organization. Though I am willing to do light housework, housecleaning services are not a part of the postpartum doula's spectrum of care.
How does a postpartum doula differ from a nanny or a baby nurse? The postpartum doula's main role is to support the mother. I do not take care of the baby for you, but rather support you however I can in helping you to take care of your baby. My role is to help you feel loved, safe, informed, comforted and supported in your new role as mother.
Cost of Services
I charge $30/hour for my Postpartum Doula services. I do not offer over-night availability at this time.
